Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place…(Job 38:12, KJV)
What a rare day! Over 90 degrees and high humidity, a real tropical heat-wave in our neck of the woods!
And so, we headed out to Sand Beach to make the most of an opportunity that comes, at most, once a year (and not even every year, to be honest!)
The water was bright turquoise, and, though still chilly, was refreshing and enjoyable, and Joe and I swam and played with the kids for the first time since we arrived in Maine. Up to this point, our maximum has been jumping in (me squealing like a baby) and jumping out again! Maybe standing knee-deep for a little while, while the kids splash and play around us…
We shared our swim with a beautiful school of shimmering fishies – Atlantic Sand Lances, as far as I can tell, very fast, very flashy, and completely beautiful!
And I took advantage of a beautiful day for a little photo shoot! You know, sun and sand and salt and all that good stuff!
Oh my little sweeties, they just grow so fast!
Thank You, Lord, for Your many blessings. This world that You have created, that You sustain each and every day by the strength of Your mighty right hand, is such a privilege to see You in, such a joy to meet You in, such a pleasure to serve You in, as we look forward to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to that wonderful day of all of this made new!
By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth? Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder; To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man; To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth? (Job 38:24-27, KJV)
